I want to start my first post by saying that I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to the blogging scene. However, I have written daily journals for a large portion of my life. I always wrote based on two main rules: be completely honest and focus on the fun stuff. So that’s what I’m doing here. So watch out; you can expect me to be brutally honest, and I’m guaranteed to get very excited over stupid shit (that’s your only warning).
So a little about me and why I’m here.
My name is Ann. I’m 23. I have a very obese cat named Schmee. He’s an asshole that I love very much. I have a sweet and extremely nerdy boyfriend. I enjoy the company of people as much as I enjoy animals. I’m a nurse (currently). I’m kinda obsessive about nutrition – I’ve logged my calories almost every day for the last four years just for fun. I will never, ever turn down chocolate. I love to dwell on ways I can improve myself. I’m going through some massive life changes that I think people will either be able to relate to or learn from. This is my blank, public, year-long canvas. It would be super cool if people actually read this, but I’m not counting on people getting as excited as me about my daily rants and raves.
So what are all these changes you speak of, Ann??? Well, Ann, you’re about to go through quite the shit storm over the next year. Your goals are to:
- completely change the direction of your career to something I actually enjoy
- start school full-time in computer programming
- land a sweet-ass job
- move in with a man for the first time
- get a kitten???!!!
- touch your man’s butt a minimum of one time (hopefully this will be checked off tomorrow)
- reach an enlightening level of self-esteem
- maintain your health and finances
And today was a very important first step toward one goal! I went to my interview for the programming program I’m interested in, and I think I nailed it. I got at least 4 or 5 brownie points because the interviewer already knows my boytoy, yo. This place is going to be amazing – I can’t wait to start my new life in the next couple months :)!
